McGovern Campaign Shows Broad Support in Glades Community – Three Mayors and local City Commissioners endorse Michelle Oyola McGovern
for County Commission

Palm Beach County, FL – Elected leaders across the Glades region have jointly endorsed Michelle Oyola McGovern’s campaign for Palm Beach County Commission. The Glades region is made up of Belle Glade, Pahokee, and South Bay and includes the sizeable western-most portion of Palm Beach County and District 6.The elected leader endorsements include:

“I am honored to have the support of Mayor Wilson, Mayor Babb and Mayor Kyles along with Vice Mayor Joaquin Almazan, Commissioner Wilkerson and Commissioner Berry in my campaign for County Commission District 6. Throughout my career, I have worked to build trust across the entire Glades community by working with local leaders and meeting with residents in these three cities to address the unique issues they face. It’s going to take collaboration and determination to continue to move our community forward and I am focused on fostering lasting partnerships across District 6 to do just that,” said Michelle Oyola McGovern.

In her 20 years of public service and community involvement, Michelle has worked side-by-side with the Glades community and its business, agricultural, spiritual, and nonprofit leaders. These strong working relationships provide Michelle the background and knowledge needed to foster safer neighborhoods, better job opportunities and protect the livelihoods of workers and small business owners alike.

In his endorsement, Belle Glade Mayor Steve Wilson stated, “As a long-term resident, Michelle Oyola McGovern understands what makes the Western communities of Palm Beach County so unique.” He continued, “She is a leader who treasures diversity, encourages innovative thinking, and considers all sides of an issue before making a decision. I endorse Michelle for County Commission, and you should too!”

South Bay Mayor Joe Kyles said, “It is a pleasure to endorse Michelle Oyola McGovern for Palm Beach County Commission. Michelle has always put people before politics, and that is what makes her an extraordinary community advocate. We need Michelle’s experience and passion on the County Commission.”
