Today marks the beginning of National Hispanic Heritage Month!
This month provides a special opportunity to celebrate the cultural heritage and history of Hispanic and Latinx Americans whose ancestors came from Mexico, Spain, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.
To me, my Hispanic Heritage is a big part of who I am. It is the family traditions as simple as Sunday dinner and the songs that we teach to each new baby born into the family. It’s also the food we eat and the comradery we share. It’s the feeling that everyone close to you is family and that there is always enough food to share at the table.
