Why I’m Running

Dear Friend,

Yesterday, I filed my paperwork to officially become a candidate for Palm Beach County Commission, District 6, and I wanted you to be one of the first to know about this exciting news!

I’m grateful to have the support and encouragement from term-limited District 6 County Commissioner Melissa McKinlay, as well as several of our community’s residents and leaders.

I’m stepping up to serve our community in this critical time, because I love this district, know it well, and believe that my experience in community advocacy makes me the right person to be your next County Commissioner.

We need an advocate who understands our community’s unique way of life and who will fight with passion and collaboration to achieve our common goals.

What I learned in my 18 years working for Senator Nelson is that advocacy in public service starts with relationships, and it was through those relationships that we were able to get things done.

My commitment to serving people goes beyond my professional career, having volunteered and served on numerous boards and committees over the last twenty years, including as a founding member and first president of West Palm 100 – an organization of young professionals interested in giving back to their community.

I’ll bring these values and experience to the County Commission to better serve our residents, while focusing on the priorities and issues that move our county forward: creating jobs, providing workforce and affordable housing, and managing future growth smartly.

I’m ready to hit the campaign trail and earn you vote. Palm Beach County Commission District 6 is an open seat and Election Day isn’t until August 2022; but we need to start early.

We are going to be running a different type of campaign that focuses on people, and the families that call District 6 home. It’s going to be a campaign that is built around neighbors talking to neighbors and small conversations at the dinner table or at local shops.
